Kids Can Write a Letter to Santa

2016 Parade Route Announced

The Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade Association is presenting the 80th annual Christmas parade themed “Home for the Holidays” Saturday afternoon November 19, 2016 at 4:30pm along 2nd Street.

We ask that everyone join us on the Saturday before Thanksgiving in Owensboro, “Where Kentucky Starts Christmas” to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season and help us make our parade the best yet!

Be sure to follow us on Twitter @OWBparade to get the latest information on the parade. We will use Twitter to communicate any information we need to get out – especially on parade day.

Parade begins on 2nd and Pearl Streets, proceeds west on 2nd, and ends at 2nd and Locust.

Johnston Siblings Named Official Parade Starters

The Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade Association is proud to announce that the 2016 Christmas Parade Starters are Ella, Aiden, and Reese Johnston of Owensboro! The Johnston siblings have been longtime supporters of the Christmas Parade, have been an integral part of the annual parade preparations for a number of years, and are a part of a family that is dedicated to volunteerism and giving back to the community where they live!

Ella_JohnstonElla, age 10, attends the Owensboro Catholic 4-6 Campus as a 4th grader. Ella loves to read, play with her cousins, and enjoys playing volleyball.







Aiden, age 8, attends the Owensboro Catholic K-3 Campus as a 2nd grader. Aiden loves to swim, loves to play Minecraft and his Wii U, and has a true love for pizza & Star Wars.






Reese_JohnstonReese, age 6, attends the Owensboro Catholic K-3 Campus as a kindergartner. Reese loves to play with her American Girl dolls, spending time with her cousins, and is a huge fan of ketchup.
